How to get out of RA ?

I need info on getting out of the RA chapter that I am in. I don't want to get out of my Blue Lodge, or OES chapter. Just RA chapter. I read the Grand Lodge constitution, and Mackey's Jurisprudence, but haven't found the answer on getting out.

It's pretty much the same as changing blue lodges... Demit from the old chapter, and petition to a new or different chapter.

The only other chapter in my district is the one that did our initiation with only 3 officers. Just want out....Don't want to demit.

If you don't want to demit & cut ties with your current chapter, then vote with your feet. Continue to pay the dues you owe & just don't attend.

You have received some good advice, here are my suggestions. 1. Get a certificate of Good Standing and move to a different Chapter. 2. Demit. 3. Don't do anything and go suspended for non payment of dues.4.(What I would do.) Hold your head high, become active and make the needed changes from within. You can't fix or change what's going on sitting on the couch at home. You have to be "That Guy" who takes the leadership role and make it a better Chapter for the next Mason to join.

Well, you'll always be a RAM now that you've received your degrees, like you'll always be a MM. You can't do much about that, IMO.

Demiting and removing your affiliation from any Chapters will be the next best thing.

All have given great advise, and just as I have ridden out the challenges of my Blue Lodge, I will not break. I spoke to the secretary today, and he was straight up with me, and stated that NOTHING has been ordered by High Priest as stated. With that said I respect the truth coming from the sec. The lies and misconceptions have to be put to rest, and I agree I must play a part in helping with that. I am just so frustrated with all that goes on in my Blue Lodge, and then all the deception in the RAM chapter which is made up of the same members of my Blue Lodge. Didn.t know that going in, but I'm here and will do what I can do to make the best of a MESS....

Don't give up on your Chapter. As others have said, be the one to lead the change. I am clearly biased toward Royal Arch Masonry and make no apologies for it, so I don't want to see anyone leave.

So.....

If you are set on getting out, please demit. That way, if things get sorted, you can come back in good standing.
If you just stop paying your dues and are suspended for NPD, then you have a mess on your hands if you do decide to return.
Looking at your profile, I hope you have not affiliated yourself with a group that is clandestine or irregular in nature with the purpose of taking money from people.
If everything is on the up and up: pick up your crow; pick up your pickaxe; pick up your shovel; and go to work to be the one that makes a difference.

Some jurisdictions allow you to resign from Freemasonry and you are no longer a Master Mason.

I see your sig line Past Everything. You seem very young to be a past grand master.

My avatar was initially Teddy Roosevelt when I first joined. I didn't want anyone to make assumptions or jump to conclusions due to my young (relative to Freemasonry) age.

Anyhow, Bro. Lins is correct, no GMs in my home lodge.

Hey, take complements of being young while you can. There will be a day when people say you look young for 60, and you just sigh.

Non-payment of dues will affect your Blue Lodge & OES.
