Congrats, Brother Daniel! I too, was elected for the Oriental Chair in my Mother Lodge (San Angelo #570), although I am just finishing my year in the East in my affiliate lodge (Phil Head #1415). What a crazy year this one has been. I hope the next one is a bit smoother since I have had a little bit of experience.

Two years in a row in two different lodges? Wow. I did two years in a row in the same lodge and it was okay because I added a couple of events to and subtracted a couple of events from the calendar and used mostly the same plan. As different as each lodge is you need to be going through a different plan for each one. Thanks for the service!

On Tuesday, I was elected Worshipful Master for the upcoming Masonic year. I would say that I'm mildly terrified, but sitting in the East in Chapter/Council certainly has helped to prepare me for Blue Lodge. Hopefully I don't burn the place down. :/
Congratulations Brother Master Elect.
It's good to see you progress from you initiate, got raised and got your office then the East.
Be ready to fight with PMs! lol

I may do two years in a row in two different lodges in the next year and the year after... Hope I'll be alright...

That's how it worked for me. Every Lodge seems to have a separate & distinctive personality- just go with the flow (from the front, of course)!

I would be remiss if I did not mention that I am very indebted to this forum (formerly Masons of Texas) and folks who helped shine the light on my path as I was petitioning my local lodge. Many thanks to the members and mods for their sage advice years back!

Congratulations. I was also elected WM and am kinda nervous as well. However, we do a bit of practice in moving up chairs so that helps......some.

Good luck to you in your year! I was also elected to the East at Valley-Hi for the ensuing Masonic Year and I agree with you wholeheartedly, my time as MEHP and as TIM has provided me very valuable training and preparation! I was concerned about having skipped off from the Blue Lodge line and going through the York Rite chairs, but I think my experiences there - among a room full of past presiding officers from three bodies- made it time well spent!
