Hello, Mr.Glen.
Also -- To make good men better?
But, why, then, he have to be "healed"?
Not in my view; to simply keep up numbers and revenue and keep buildings open.

In any case, as he he has not been through a process under the auspices of a legitimate GL, the prior acts are not recognized. It is as if he received a degree from a university which was not accredited. An accredited university would require him to take the classes over.

:) Thanks.
But, why aren't you, "fighting" with them? I know, this may be a stupid question! Cause you don't have "copyrights" on The Freemasonry. But, anyway. Why don't you make "influence/pressure" on these clandestine guys?! So that they should stop their "business"? Or movement, whatever.

This is America. We have various freedoms, including the freedom to be in error

The way we do it in NC is you have a one time initiation fee which also covers your first years dues as a MM. After that you pay your yearly lodges dues which in mine are $65 which makes joining York Rite not that big of a hassle lol

I might also add, if you have to retake the degrees again, it's not a bad thing. They are so packed full of learning and symbolism that you'll be wanting to come back for more.

Best wishes in your journey

That'll never happen. These clandestine lodges make too much revenue to shut down.

Actually there has been legal actions filed in U.S. Courts to counter bogus Masonry's existence & growth. But unfortunately, litigation is not cheap.
What happens after a so-called victory in the Courts is that Clandestine organizations change their names and re-surface as a new organization.

I don't see why all of the GLs and PHGLs can come together and copyright the S&C of all 3 degrees for our use only, shit even name every GL recognized by the UGLE in the co-claimants sections so that ever regular and recognized GL can use it and no one else can

S&C has been in use so long it is in the public domain.

Clandestine jurisdictions that try to use the same names as regular jurisdictions can't get corporate charters. The fact that jurisdictions own non-profit corporations and corporations have charters is confusing to folks who are not aware of what lodge warrants and charters are. The word overlap between a lodge's charter and a corporation's charter confuses some into thinking that jurisdictions have lodge style charters issued by parent GLs. Some do but it's not a standard.

Court cases are expensive. Founding a clandestine lodge is cheap in comparison. It's a losing battle to go after clandestine jurisdiction after clandestine jurisdiction. Especially since many clandestine lodges are forces for good in their communities and most members have no idea they joined a clandestine lodge, suing clandestine jurisdiction is counter to our purposes in certain ways.

FYI, you usually pay the dues for the lodge including Grand Lodge Tax and whatever the fee for healing..I never heard paying for each degree..sounds suspect.

I did that I'm mainstream mm. That is a bylaws thing usually depends on the lodge. That's the way I was raised but we recently changed our bylaws. Its all at once now

Under the Grand Lodge of Texas, we pay for each degree. (Getting tired of using mainstream so I will just state my grand lodge)
