Daughters of ISIS not of the Nile. No Masons I know of wear fezzes in lodge. That is a Shriner thing. I mean fezzes with the Square and Compass. Like I said, irregular Masonry. That was all I was talking about. I've been around this all my life. Quite exposed to it in my younger life. I knew a lot of men and women that were of regular regime.
If I may sum up the rebuttals specifically:

no, Daughters of Isis are not part of an irregular group. They are a female counterpart of PHA (Egyptian) Shrine, just as Nile is of Shrine Internatiomal.

No, PHA OES and Daughters of Isis are not the same.

I agree, regular lodges do not wear a fez (absent the master, perhaps). Since Daughters of Isis aren't Masons, they don't participate in lodge, though they will wear the fez to Events, just like LOS and DON do.

Don't let a modern group of fanatics corrupt an ancient goddess's name in your mind. Compartmentalize these things.
I spit on pagan "gods and goddesses". If you haven't noticed, God gets a little jealous over that sort of thing. He has made himself well known for responding to mockery and blasphemy. It's in the Bible, God's word.

But ur post was that it was the OES of PH. Its not. ISIS was a promenant female figure in Egypt. The Shrine is based on Egyptian lore.....

As for ur meds i honestly hope u get it figured out. Also im just curious did you tell ur lodge that ur on those types of meds when u petitioned?

They didn't ask. I did look around for say..Eastern Star on google. Lots of daughters of isis this and tons of prince hall stuff kept coming up. Medication, however, has nothing to do with it. It was one of those things that simply sounded bad to me. I am Christian so I am forbid to even keep an open mind about somethings. We must guard ourselves. I don't see or understand why there is Freemasonry and prince hall masonry. If it were all the same, some wouldn't consider it irregular. But as for the shrine, I do not feel I could wear their fez with the islamic symbols of a false god on top of my head. Not even to mention any isis stuff.

Well I was gonna step away....look man you dont know i dont know you. But i was deployed to Iraq for 2 yrs of my life.....ive read parts of the quaran. There are stories in there that are almost vertaim as in the old and new testament. Allah simply means God. So if you W
Were a Arabic speaking Christaian you would still say Allah.
As Christ was about to be crusified he was telling his followers to forgive the Romans. Does the saying "God of Love and Peace" mean anything to you?

Are you saying you wouldnt sit in lodge with a Hindi or a Muslim, Jew, Wiccan...what about a Gay man?

Remember the land mark about sectarian religion discussion. I know it does not apply outside of tiled lodge meetings and as such is not mandatory on this forum, but the landmark is in place for a long list of reasons.

That is one of the main things islam has lied about. Christ was never "replaced" before he was crucified, he was the son of God and he is the only way to God the father. muslims say allah is just another name for God but the version of God in the koran w.e. is not the God of the Hebrews. their prophet, sadly, was either deceived by the devil to unite the other moon worshipping tribes in the region or he came up with it for a power base. He also slept with and married children. muslims will claim islam is a continuation of the bible or something whatever the hell that means. God made no mistakes when he made his plan with Jesus and it needs no continuation because Christ's death wasn't the end of anything. islam also claims God can have no son, that Jesus will deny he died and was the son of God and then proceed to help the al mahdi with ridding the world of the rest of the infidels, Jews and Christians. To hell with islam. That's where it will end.

Racism? On who's part? Did blacks want their own lodges or did whites not allow them to join theirs?

This is how you think of your Muslim brothers? Disappointed.

Good Afternoon All,

My wife has petitioned the local OES chapter where we reside. Her petition was accepted and her Investigation went well. She should be getting Initiated pretty soon.

As for me, I've been thinking about it, I just can't seen to make up my mind as to whether I should join (the interest is there) or should I let my wife have her own thing as I have my own thing with Masonry. I also don't know much about OES like I do Masonry so that also plays a role in my indecisiveness. I would like to know some of the brothers who are also members of OES's thoughts.

Hello Bro. Derinique, so I know this is an old post and a ton of stuff has been said since you initially asked your question. I am a member of the OES with my wife and would venture to say that if she's interested in it, that's good because then you can treat it as a sort of "Masonic Date Night" where you go to your meeting, then leave from there with some like minded couples, get some nice dinner and drinks and make it an evening out. That was the plan with my wife and I but it being so Biblically based, she had trouble relating to it (see below). She did however meet one good friend and her husband is a friend of mine as well. I think having her own thing is good but as a couple, it'd give you guys one more thing to have in common and maybe make some memories as well. Who knows, WP and WM down the road for you two.

Side note and why my wife didn't care for it was she is from Istanbul and felt it was a little more of a church extension when really it's not, research its beginnings and you'll see it was initially going to be 5 Greek goddesses. I think they changed it to mostly Biblical characters to make it easier to digest for most women of the 1800s. There was for the most part an age divide as well that was difficult to oversee. :/

I see OES as several Brethren have noted: as an Order to which my wife could belong and feel herself part of the Masonic family. But one to which she would attach herself and enjoy if I were in attendance with her, at least betimes. This is a good thread.

Thanks for the feedback bro. Great insight. And I can definitely see WM/WP down the line!
