Reinstating to York Rite from NPD?

Anyone have experience with what this entails?

I am currently working on re-establishing good standing in my Blue Lodge, and am told to expect that to take a month or so. Once there, I can move forward with the York Rite.

At present, am only just able to touch base with the local YR chapter, as things seem a bit disorganized.

And, activity levels seem modest: many of the most energetic Brothers are also active in the Blue Lodge, Scottish Rite, and Shriners, so speead rather thin.

What happened, btw, that joining the Shriners required membership in both the Blue Lodge and either SR or YR? I gather that whatever changed, it has made recruitment to those other two appendant organizations more difficult.

Thanks, Brothers!

I was reinstated to the York Rite last night.

This follows having been admitted to Wood River Lodge 1062 last week. In the past eight days I have attended Lodge three times, including the initiation of two Entered Apprentices on Tuesday.

My son-in-law has petitioned to join my Lodge so we will be initiating him in about one month.

Next up for me will be to join the Scottish Rite. Reunion in a bit over a month. That will pretty much top me off for organizations for the moment. Though my wife is considering the Eastern Star as well.
