York Rite Question

Or must I wait until the process is done and I have fully become a member of a lodge of the GLoT, which I am told can take up to a year ofrmore, depending on how fast the Grand Lodge of Hawaii moves on the issue.
I think this the correct answer. you must be current. you should also contact a york rite office

I emailed Orville O'Neal and this is his reply

The laws state that you only have to be a Master Mason in good standing of a lodge recognized by the Grand Lodge of Texas, so no you do not have to affiliate with a lodge in Texas before you join the York Rite.

Pretty exciting news, I just now have to contact the San Antonio York Rite bodies to find out what I need to do to petition.

Awesome please do keep us informed. M:. W:. O'Neil is a great person has so many titles but i know of in which he will be soon.
