This is just my opinion. I doubt there are many, if any Masonic related Bible studies, commentaries or guides. Masonry is a personal journey and one that, through a Brother's personal study of his own religion, traditions and culture leads his to becoming that perfect ashlar. Any guided study would lead you to another guy's discoveries of himself, which may or may not help you to find what you need in Masonry. My advice would be to commit yourself to your church, family and community and work through that. There are no secrets to the "lost word" except through your own efforts.

I recommend The Temple of Solomon by Kevin Connor. It's a very thorough Biblical study of both the physical and spiritual aspects of the Temple for both the Jew and Christian. Also recommend The Temple Spiritualized by John Bunyan. This was written in the 1600's but is a great read still today.
Understanding the significance of this great structure reminds me of our daily work, and to use my working tools, and allows me to understand that I am part, a piece, however small, of God's plan.
Happy traveling.

Since you proclaim to be a newly raised Master Mason, I would suggest the Book of Kings........I Kings 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, specifically. I think that is a good read for you..........I am not in violation of my Const./By Laws by pointing you here, since we are not discussing the Ritual or any esoteric teachings.........this is all Biblical reference, which anyone can read, Brother................A Bible concordance can also help you, if you are simply trying to locate references to Masonry or the building of King Solomon's Temple in the Bible.........there are a few.......take your time, and STUDY what you read............. Freemasonry being rather broad and diverse in it's acceptance and support of a man's faith, I think you would be best off starting with your own church's Bible study program. Me, I prefer to study the scripture directly, maybe using several different translations sometimes to help under stand just what it's trying to say on a specific point.

When I was raised, the Lodge gave me a Masonic edition of the Bible which had several appendices which described Masonry's relationship with the Great Light, and pointed out the various parts that have been specifically incorporated into the Craft's teachings. I've found that to be extremely useful. I had several of the nice Zondervan study Bibles that I used for my own devotions before I became a Mason, and I still use those when I'm studying or working on a specific problem or question, but that little Lodge version is just so portable & handy that it's become the copy that gets carried around and is starting to collect all the little pencil notes and highlighter marks...

Does anyone know of any good Masonic related Bible studies to check out?
"The Books of The Book" by Clarence H. Cohen, PGM of Georgia GL is only $5 and can be found at Grand Lodge Books

It is a concise review of the Bible, book by book, while pointing out the Masonic relevance.
