I bought my own custom apron not long after being raised. I see it as another way to honor or reflect the respect I have for the craft. I myself do not care for the cloth aprons available at most lodges. Plus I would hate to travel to a lodge that doesn't offer the pm and be I'll prepared.
A man has to pass by the west gate three times before he is a MM, just ensure you guard it accordingly. If he is as bad as you say he is it won't be hard.

Now as I understand my masonic history all appendant bodies really started as "side" degrees that transformed into their own body. I'm not saying they are bad by any means but we run the chance of letting other "side" degrees morph into new bodies if kept unchecked. Which may or may not lead to...
I understand why side degrees have come about. But it sounds more to me that blue lodges have gotten, for lack of a better phrase, lazy. If they were to put on the festive boards and such then maybe brothers wouldn't feel the need for side degrees.

I'm sorry but I just don't understand the need for "side" degrees. There are enough degrees separate from the " blue lodge" as it is. I am still working on learning and giving all I can to the first 3.

I think this video is the best example of what we as Freemasons are striving for and what the ultimate goal of our fraternity is. The overview effect that we are all on same basis connected despite any differences.

No scotch that I know of use US whiskey in their blend. They may use grain alcohol but it's all from Scotland. Unless you buy single malt which has no grain alcohol in it.

I agree, well both make valid arguments, both are using logic vs belief. Of which none of us are fully qualified to make except the GAOU. Hence why religion ideology is not to be discussed in lodge. As to this forum we can discuss it, and so for the better as long as we can part on.....
