Congrats!

I'm not sure you find Masonic secrets in libraries or bookstores, but the internet sometimes reveals toi much. I did try to find out as much as possibile before I petitioned. Most of that was useful for taking that leap, but not all. There's disinformation, misinformation and too much information.

I was 58 when I petitioned, and they already had a date for my initiation...then came the Covid-19 and everything is on hold. I'd like to think that it was not the right age, but the right time for me to petition. (as many people already pointed out)

I haven't read but a couple of these statements. They seem to be like mutual agreement about Freemasonry being brotherly, against racism and against violence like all good people. Is there some kind of commitment of eg. co-operating between the signed parties?

Now, it's probably safest to speak about "similarities in tradition" than "the origins of a tradition", at least with my very limited knowledge of both history and Freemasonry (still not a Freemason), but this is very interesting. I look forward to learning more.
