How to draw a Texas Apron

Daniel Mosmeyer

I read a paper or article about 6 months ago that described (and showed) how to draw a Texas apron in it's proper dimensions by using the tools of the craft...such as the 24" gage, square and compasses. I am now driving myself crazy trying to track down where I read it.

Does anyone know of what I am referring to? Any help locating this would be greatly appreciated.

There is a video on MoT website that explains the dimensions of the apron as well as how/why the grand officers emblems are what they are

Thanks, but that's not what I'm looking for. This was a written piece and explained step by step how to draw geometrically and end up with the apron with the correct dimensions, including the 6" drop in the bib.

The video does tell you that, it goes from start to finish on how to make an apron and it has diagrams too.

I think the information your looking for is between 1.30 to 3.25. I hope this is what your looking for.

Loved the 6 inch drop part of that video. Squaring the circle one TX mason at a time.

I believe it is explained in Lightfoot's commentaries. Perhaps the article you read references it.
