Are there any Masons on this site who are Pilots or have a keen interest or involvement with Aviation?

I'm in Cornwall, UK.
Unfortunately its more expensive here and there is far less jobs too.
I'm just focus on my private licence and go from there. It makes sense to fly chopprs however if I'm totally honest my heart is still with fixed wing!
I used to glide and there was really nothing like it.

My "interest" in aviation was keeping pilots alive as a parachute rigger and "final checker" for the Navy. After working on planes, I realized I'd rather jump out of them than fly in them.

I used to an Unmanned Aircraft Operator for the US Army. It's a sub-branch of Aviation, but it's growing.

Well you are always welcome. Houston is a major hub for united, us airways etc. Even my small airport Lonestar Executive (KCXO) has expanded and has an FAA control tower. Google Lonestar Executive or check it out on Airnav.com

Had to throw this in...

lindbergh-27.jpg

In St. Louis, where the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers flow together, Lindbergh joined the Craft. Most famous Masons joined the fraternity before coming to world notice, and Lindbergh was no exception. He completed his degrees in Keystone Lodge Number 243, A. F. & A. M. of Missouri, in December of 1926, months before the flight that was to bring him world renown.

Freemasons are everywhere! And in outterspace too. One austronaut, I don't remember his name is freemason. California Lodge mason, may be.

A lot more than one astronauts are Masons and more than one have been featured in the California Freemason quarterly newsletter over the years. There are more Texas and California Masons in the astronaut corp because of the training center in Houston, though.

The most famous Mason astronaut would be the one who took a lodge charter to the Moon to declare it GLofTX territory. He's also one of the few people in the world where all you need is his first name the same way it worked for Michelangelo - Buzz.

I did my flight training at a little airport called Hooks which is under the George Bush Intercontinental Airport airspace. Hooks field is where I first met someone who was building their own airplane. I was bitten by the homebuilding bug and years later I bought a set of plans, sheets of aluminum, and began building plane parts. Then I got a chance to go back to school and earn my A&P license. After graduation I worked on jets for a regional affiliate of Delta. Today I am back where I started, building airplane parts in my basement.
