This is what I know, it's a lightpost, located in Whitefish Bay, WI, I took the photo several weeks ago, the post is located in front of my brothers house. He has lived there for almost 15 years and he says it was there before he moved in. There is a lodge just down the street.

When I read the subject line I hoped there would be a photograph of a public march wearing aprons. One of my lodges does a float and march every 4th of July. We get permission to wear our aprons.

That is mysterious, never seen this on a post before. The story behind this is probably a good one.

I agree!! I'm sure there's some interesting history that comes with that lightpost ;)

I want to join the group

The first step is to tell a Mason you want to be a Mason. The next step depends on your geography. Some regions you'll need a sponsor. In the US the standard is to knock on the door of the local lodge about an hour before the monthly meeting.
