Dalcho's 1801 ritual said, "He then places upon the wedding finger of his left hand, a plain gold ring of this breadth [---------] on the inside of which is engraved the following Motto—viz—“Deus Meumque Jus” and the name of the owner...."

It included a drawing, and showed it was a triple band of gold.


The ritual conferred upon Pike in 1857 said, "Receive, Ill. Bro., this ring, which is a sign of the alliance which you have made this day with us. you are, from this day henceforth, forever bound to God, to the Order, and to your Country. Let your motto be: “DEUS MEUMQUE JUS.”, “GOD AND MY RIGHT!”"

Pike's ring, in the HOT, is also a triple band of gold.

Pike's first revision (1868) said, "I invest you with the ring of the Order, which you will wear on the little finger of the right hand, not to inform other Masons of your rank, but that it may always be a monitor to yourself, to remind you of your vows, if you should ever be tempted to prefer anything to Honour and Duty, or for a moment forget that you are a Knight Kadosh, and the solemn obligations which to wear that name imposes on you."

I don't recall seeing any 33d rings with the triangle which are older than about 100 years.
