MOOC means Massive Open Online Course. They are free courses that universities offer online. Coming up in September Stanford University is offering it's "Intro to Logic" course, online, for free. You get to view the course lectures which are mostly broken down into 5 to 7 minute segments. If you want to learn more about a particular idea they tell you where to find additional study material. If a group of Masons took the course at the same time we could have a discussion on how logic applies to Masonry. I have taken several courses from Coursera. They are easy to follow, free, and fun. Of course there are opportunities to spend money. You can get a "certificate of completion" for $49, and there are links to buy books. But I just bypass all that and view the course material.
Stanford University is offering their course "Introduction to Logic" for free starting September 28, 2015 through November 25, 2015. I have already signed up for it. If you sign up now they will send you an email when the course begins. I hope some of the readers of this forum sign up to try this class. It would be great to have a forum discussion about it.
Here is the link to the class: https://www.coursera.org/course/intrologic
I hope to see you there
