Why you shouldn’t become a Freemason

I thought that this was a pretty good article as it shows specialists in fields better than Freemasonry and shows the pitfalls of trying to make or transform Freemasonry into one of these specialties.

Every organization needs to concentrate on what it does best and what is the reason for its existence rather than getting sidetracked into taking on other issues in order to boost membership.

Just my 2 cents

Good read. We read this in my home lodge over a year ago. We had some people who were entered and joined for the wrong reasons.

I agree somewhat as each lodge should dabble in something of its choosing. One of the fastest grown and excellence in ritual lodges I've ever seen LOVED the adopt a mile program. It was so odd to me seeing men give outstanding degree work and having guest from all over the world get so excited about their mile of roadway.

But we as Masons need to remember there is one thing which the Masonic lodge offers the world that nothing else does: Masonry.
