Looking to Develop an App for my Lodge

Has anyone here done this? Looking for a good starting point to do this. I see apps for lodges in the App Store and I want to do one for mine. We have a lot of military in my lodge and it would be a good way for the brothers to keep in touch as we move around the world.

My brothers and I have a GroupMe that we use to communicate. If you're looking to create an app for brothers to use that'd be very timely such as this space that we have here.

If you just want to stay in touch, What's App works well.
Several of the nearby districts just put something together recently, but I don't know what the platform is.
