Taking steps

Well I have been working to take small steps in learning more about Degree ritual. I have senior deaconed plenty of EAs and FCs. I have participated in small rolls in the Masters. So this year I decided to take a more active roll on our small lodges Degree work. I have conferred a fellowcraft and tonight the first section of a masters. I still suffer from selective memory, but that's ok. The only way for me to get better is to try and mess up of that's what it takes....lol
Even though I remember most of my mess ups, I still feel pretty proud. Oh yeah I did get to wear my new suit.....

Congratulations.
Remember, degree work doesn't have to be perfect. The delivery is the most important part. I've conferred countless word-perfect degrees ... on my dog, while mowing the yard, while running, etc. I'd rather see someone miss a word or two while conferring a degree with heart than hear some monotone Memorex rendition of a degree. It isn't a contest. The point is to make an impression on the candidate.
