I like this book because it predates the "Da Vinci Code" hype and it also provides information on the castle and surrounding areas.

I remember reading a book called "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" by Baigent & Lincoln years ago that mentioned Rosslyn Chapel and a Knights Templar-Jesus connection.

The book " Holy Blood, Holy Grail" is not fiction....... it is only a theory based upon some very weak evidence.

Rosslyn Chapel has many interesting features. At the front of the "chapel" to the right is a descending stone stair. It is very heavily worn as from thousands of feet - but leads to an empty room with little sign of usage. I suspect that that room has been modified to obscure a passage way to somewhere important.
That room is said to have been used by the stone masons to do their planning. Guides suggest you go down there to see the very faint remains of a design drawing on the wall. I also believe it was used for storage before the chapel became a tourist destination.
