Today was the Ceremonial of Investiture of the Knight Commander of the Court of Honor for all four of the valleys in Kentucky. This was held in my valley, the Valley of Louisville. It was the first time that I have attended and it was a very moving ceremony. I had a few friends get their "red hat" today. The 33rd degree ceremony was held today also but that is a private ceremony. Had a friend get his "white hat" today. Congratulations to all.

They allow "visitors?" Here, the KCCH investiture is closed; only members of the Court of Honor are allowed to attend.

Our Orient requires you come home and do the degree . It doesn't take if done in DC
I got the degree in DC in August. I haven't been allowed to wear my white hat until they did the degree in Minneapolis just last night. I wondered if Minnesota was the only one that did that, but I'm learning it's not at all uncommon.

Yes, visitors of both sexes are allowed for the KCCH Investiture. However, the 33rd degree ceremony is closed.

Thanks brothers. On reflection, I seem to remember being told, years ago, that the reason the KCCH investiture is closed is that there isn't enough room for guests. The 33° and KCCH members who want to attend it fill both the lodge room and the dining room of the St. Paul Scottish Rite, where it's always held.
