Went to visit one of my favorite area lodges to watch them put on an MM degree this morning. After I got there I was informed that they had had some "call offs" and needed me to fill in in the "Silent Craft". I did so and very much enjoyed myself. No rest for the wicked, lol.

Isn’t that fun, to come in and find you and your skills as a craftsman are needed?

I visited one of the nearby lodges and was asked to do the Junior Deacon work for their degree. Half of the team was visitors. I now attend that lodge most months.

My Lodge 99% of the time has enough members present who are fully capable to confer an excellent degree whether it be an EA, FC or MM with several of us able to work any part in any degree.

That being said we always give way to family, friends or visitors in that order who wish to participate as long as they are suitably proficient. We feel that is the right and “neighborly” thing to do.
