FYI...

A Brother Asks:
Can a person believe in Satan as a higher power and still be a Freemason?
Coach: No.
Brother: No?
Coach: They are not allowed to be a member. Why do you ask?
Brother: We have this weird guy at work who claims to be a Freemason, and we also believe he’s into the occult.

How odd. I thought a higher power of any sort was typically allowed (the problem being how it would mesh with the culture and harmony of the other members of the Lodge).

Well, in fact, they could be in that if the candidate believes them to fit the bill of “supreme being” and he never discusses his religious affiliations.

Freemasonry dosnt demand affiliation with an organised religion so worshiping anything that is seen as “Satanic” by a Christian faith dosnt make them ineligible for masonry.. but maybe you don’t take them to your church pick nick.

Brother: But what about theistic or, as you just shared, deistic Satanists?
Coach: They admit Satan is God’s “right hand man”, second to another deity."

This is depending on theolgical position. 218 and ONA etc. dont hold this posistion.

Covered here:

Coach: All of this assumes Satanist believe in the same Satan that is written within scripture.
Brother: Are you saying the Satanist might not be worshiping the same Satan as in the Bible?
Coach: What I’m saying is we assume in the premises of your arguments that this is true.
Brother: So, they might be using the name, but they have an entirely different mythos involved?
Coach: Yes.

If his religious inclination were known, it's likely he would not be recommended or not survive the ballot.

But the little I've read is that groups tend to be atheists. I don't get the point but they are free to do that. Being an atheist there would be a no on the petition and that would be that.

The problem is that 218 groups uses partly a biblical myth with a few changes

It is incorrect to believe that the Prince of Darkness is the same as the satans of the Old Testament

That would depend on wich satanic tradition you refer to or in general wich terminology is used to describe certain thing.

Nothing is truly universal.

There is no "Satan" in Judaism as taught in the Christian tradition. There is ha-satan (ha being the definite article, the) which is an entirely different thing and not a fallen angel or demon or any other separate entity that opposes Hashem.

>In which 18th Degree is this?

So why is the 18th military? Where in ancient history do we find a heavenly sovereign with 2 sons/princes at war upon this planet?

These characters come into Christianity as the Prince of Peace and the Prince of Darkness - overtly equal in status but not in disposition.

What on earth are you talking about? Your reply makes no sense whatsoever.

YHWH created ha-satan?

>Your reply makes no sense whatsoever.

It may surprise but in a Freemasonry that admits to not having the genuine secrets it is better to study broadly, beyond the approved Masonic texts.

You're reply might be in English, but I still have no idea what you are talking about. Do you just type random words, because that is what it looks like to me. Please do not reply to this. I'm sorry I ever responded to you. I'm going to go consume a large amount of alcohol now, then maybe I'll comprehend your posts.
