Traveling Apron

This may have been covered before and if so I apologize.

I am purchasing a traveling apron to take with me when I am on the road but my question is- is it appropriate to wear my past masters apron when traveling?

What is a travelling apron? I travel with my apron frequently and use the same one whether i am at home or away. Invest in a nice apron case instead of a separate apron. And, yes, it is completely appropriate to wear your PM apron when you visit. At least it is everywhere I have been.

Sorry- by traveling apron I just meant a nice apron to travel with.

Since I seem to be an eternal officer and have one waiting for me at my lodge each month I travel with the one I was given, for as I was told when it was presented to me, “It is yours; yours to wear throughout an honorable life, and at your death to be deposited on the casket which shall enclose your lifeless remains, and with them laid in the grave.”

Yep! Every PM I've travelled with has worn their PM apron. I, on the other hand, will be purchasing a traveling apron being I am not yet a WM let alone a PM.

Here in MI the standard apron is a white apron with no markings unless you are an officer or PM, and if you visit a lodge here and are not a PM with your own apron, you'd borrow a white apron from the lodge you're visiting. That said, being that most jurisdictions encourage folks to get their own aprons, here it's a "Travelling Apron" being it will only really be used when travelling out of jurisdiction.
