Builders of the Adytum (BOTA)

I've been reading what I can find about this group, and thought I'd ask more generally for thoughts and opinions about this mystery school and what it does. I don't know enough to have an opinion yet, and thought I'd consult with more informed brethren.

I'm interested in just about anything you have to say about it, or sources that you think are important to form a mature understanding of what it's about. This would include whether membership is problematic w.r.t. other Masonic orders, general philosophical approach, and anything else.

Be prepared to do the work. BOTA has excellent learning opportunities if you are willing to put in the time. The Brothers at WCY podcast have good things to say and there are some old threads here if you do a search. I recommend them.

It’s an old and established path and as Winter mentioned there is much work to be done. I found the meditations beneficial but life interrupted before I could finish the course.

Same for me. I had to pause my lessons but I hope to restart them soon. It's very easy to get behind in them.

I've practiced various forms of zen buddhist meditation for 30+ years and found it grounding and beneficial in more than one way.

I know nothing about the Builders of the Adytum and the type of meditation they teach.

Could you tell me more about it, or share the link for the course you mentioned, please?

Meditation is not a stand alone course by itself, rather it is part of the lessons that begin with the first course everyone starts with, "7 Steps to Practical Occultism".
