The Rocky Mountain Mason is an independent quarterly publication for Freemasons containing articles of interest to Freemasons in general as well as Masonic history, philosophy, esoterica, and current events.

I have been subscribed to the Rocky Mountain Mason magazine for a little while now and I enjoy it quite a bit. The articles are are always engaging and the magazine is very well put together. Anyone else subscribing?

Yes. It is worthwhile If you combine that with The Masonic Society (quarterly), The Philalethes Society, and the Scottish Research Society, you will an excellent reading program. The latter two have life memberships.

Excellent suggestions, Brother Glen. A member of my Lodge was one of the founding members of The Masonic Society and I was an early member. I let it lapse a while ago, unfortunately. I should rejoin.

Out of curiosity I checked to see what the total is for all four memberships and it only comes to $183 a year. That's only $15.75 a month. It is literally $0.06 more than my Netflix bill!

Rocky Mountain Mason: $33 per year
The Masonic Society: $45 per year
The Philalethes Society: $50 per year
Scottish Rite Research Society: $55 per year

That's a pretty damn good price for a lot of excellent Masonic reading.

I recently subscribed and I'm waiting on my first copy. I've subscribed to several other magazines and journals like Phylaxis and in general I've enjoyed them. Really the sheer number of these things makes me wish I had a masonic library nearby, and I hope that more publications will go digital over time.
