Need Gift Ideas

I am looking for ideas for a unique gift idea for out outgoing Master. He has been a great influence on me as a Mason and has always looked after me in all aspects of Fraternity. I look at him as my Masonic Father.

He is serving as Master the fourth time in our lodge and will more than likely never do it again. I want to give him a nice gift at our officer installation dinner but I am looking for something unique. He has been a Mason for many years and has acquired every Masonic trinket possible so I need something original.

Any ideas?

An engraved watch or pocket watch would be something nice, memorable, and practical. "Fourth time's a charm." :)

Perhaps something handmade or, custom designed. A one-of-a-kind handcrafted gift might mean a lot- especially if you can have it personalized in some way.

Our lodge presents every outgoing master with a display case, with a set of working tools in it. We use real tools, too.

I read your post again and thought I might make a more specific suggestion based on his four terms as WM. It might be nice if you can find a hand-crafted gavel and have his name engraved on it. Then mount the gavel on a plaque with the dates of his four terms as WM along with the usual Lodge name, number, etc. Just a thought....
