Do I have to wait until I am a MM before I can apply what I am/have learned?

This week I have passed from EA to FC .I have been presented with more information to add to what I received as an EA. How do I apply what I have learned or what I am learning? Do I have to wait until I am a MM before I can apply my knowledge?

Remember that the memorization you did is only part of the work.....

You should not wait at all. Both your EA and your FC degree, especially the obligation, should have taught you important life lessons which you can apply. I'd go as far as saying that if the only thing you learn and apply and memorize between the degrees is the Work then you've missed some major points...

I'm not sure I understand the question?

Only part of the work of an EA/FC/MM is learning the work. The other, and most important part, is applying what you've learned to your life.

Youngblood, What do you mean by "applying your knowledge?" The Brothers above mentioned something that you need to carefully examine. The memory work is only PART of your purpose as a Mason. The application of what you read and learn to your daily walk is the objective. These are questions that we don't mind answering, however, I need to stress the point again that you need to spend LESS time on this Forum asking US questions, and MORE time asking these types of questions to the Elder, more well-informed Brethren in YOUR Lodge.

It's not that we mind helping you, Brother; it's more of the fact that the BOND established between you and the Brothers WHILE LEARNING is very important..........you apply that knowledge every waking day that you think about your obligations in Masonry. You apply that knowledge before going out with friends, reminding yourself of how you should act and conduct yourself. You apply that knowledge when involved in a disagreement with your Wife, being careful not to berate or disrespect her or your children while angry. You most certainly apply that knowledge while at work, when dealing with the certain co-worker that you don't get along with.

Do you get the picture?? There is no "magic potion" or light bulb that pops on the instant we become Masons; it is the work you put in each waking day to make the improvements in areas of your life where most needed, or rearrange those priorities that are out of order. It is also taking great CARE of Masonry, by studying and reading whenever you get free time. It is also sitting in Lodge, being an OBSERVER as a new Brother, watching the Brethren give Lectures, conduct the business, and work the Ritual. It is doing what you can within your limits to assist any WORTHY Brother in distress, in your Lodge or District. I could elaborate for days, on my humble opinion on HOW we as Masons APPLY the knowledge we gain...............remain humble, and strive to be a servant of the GAOTU AT ALL TIMES...................
