Once a Master Mason I would feel so honored! Not only wearing them but understanding the significance up being a Master Mason. ImageUploadedByFreemasonry1367452953.424331.jpgImageUploadedByFreemasonry1367451674.547294.jpg

I would imagine that you misunderstood what Bro:jvarnell meant. I think what he meant (and please correct me if I am wrong) it has nothing to do with masonic jewelry but jewelry in general. He said he was an electrician so unfortunately he must have seen some people inadvertantly complete a circut with thier jewelry by leaning with hanging chains or making contact with rings/watches and get burned very badly or worse. I only know this because my entire family has been electricians so I think this is what he was getting at.

Not to hijack the thread, but electricians do not usually wear jewelry. Catching 220V or more through a gold ring can cautarize a finger and pop it right off. Have never seen it in person, but have heard that many times from my days in the military. Some guys would even get thier wedding band tattooed on thier ring finger so they wouldn't have to face the wrath of the wife. It took me years to get back in the habit of wearing even my wedding ring.

You got it and I was there when it happed in my case which made an impression on me. I don't ware a wedding ring and have not worn one for 33 years of marriage so if I put on a masonic ring now what do you think would happen.

I understand Brothers,
You are quite correct, I did misunderstand. I was not thinking about the fact it was an electrician
And that might be the possible reason. Forgive me good Sir...

I work in a powerplant and when I get on shift I remove my rings and watch. You never know when you may need to isolate some part of the switchgear. You dont want to get caught with it on and need to. In breaker training it is heavily regarded as a big no no. They show some pret y gruesome videos as to why not.
