It was Bridge Builders of Freemasonry (US). Just saw your message. I am rarely on here. The group is not that active anymore once you didn't need to.get approval from your grand lodge to visit.
Rest in peace, Brother Lins. I got a blast email from a member of Holland Lodge saying he had transitioned. I looked at his Facebook page and he had been posting just a day before or less.
Mississippi is similar. The PHA grand lodge is Stringer. I would imagine that the clandestine grand lodges incorporated first in those states although I am not familiar with the history of either.
Not really familiar with the Demolays but the Grand Lodge of the Philippines is recognized by the UGLE so they are legit. Possibly Demolay Intl has not updated their website or maybe they got in trouble because of hazing. I have no idea.
There was an email about a month ago from the GLOT regarding this. I will message you the link. Not sure if this is what was read in the meeting though.
Do you mean that your petition was read in at the stated meeting after you turned it in or you just got your petition? Regardless, congrats on your progress. Patience, it will be worth it!!!
I don't believe Oklahoma asked the UGLE for recognition even though they are in amity with their "mainstream" counterpart. It does seem unusual to say the least cause you would think it would be a mere formality at this point.
That's what a brother told me who had been a member of "mainstream" and Prince Hall grand lodges but it is possible I didn't understand him completely. There are only 11 states (DC not included) that have blanket recognition on that Bessel's website which has not been updated in years. That is...
Generally, "mainstream" grand lodges only recognize the Prince Hall grand lodge of the same state. There may be some exceptions when the Prince Hall grand lodge is chartered in another state. A "mainstream" grand lodge would not recognize a Prince Hall grand lodge that was not in amity with its...
There are other Prince Hall grand lodges not recognized in other states as well. They are regular but these are mainly southern states where other issues may come into play with the exception of West Virginia (not considered a southern state). Prince Hall grand lodges are not recognized in...
Interesting that you mention that since your grand lodge recognizes the Prince Hall grand lodge in your state since 1997 according to http://bessel.org/masrec/phachart.htm which may be out of date but still has useful information and UGLE http://www.ugle.org.uk/about/foreign-grand-lodges ...
You had kinda already answered your own question cause if your grand lodge does not permit dual or plural memberships, then even if you were a member of MWPHGLMa or any PH Grand Lodge that the UGLE recognizes; you would still not be permitted to join another grand lodge. That is to the best of...
That's my point. That is a Prince Hall lodge and it is honorary. But joining the internet lodge which has a warrant from the UGLE directly, is like trying to join another grand lodge.
