Was raised last week at a beautiful outdoor degree. The lodge room was set up beside a stock tank... it was at night by torchlight which added to the already awesome experience. I was one of three and got to go last during the second portion... made it extra special. I am thinking of writing an...
My raising will be on the 25th; but I think I may go so far as to wait until after I have turned in my MM proficiency and read some more before wearing a ring. I'd hate for someone to ask me a question about Masonry that I can't answer or at least know where to look to find the answer. Also...
Thankfully, in my area, as far as I know, we are not prohibited from associating with one another. We just cannot "officially" recognize each other as regular Masons (which I indeed hope to see changed). That being said, there is nothing that says we can't meet as friends and discuss the craft...
Just bought a grill off of Craigslist and made burgers.
Used Dad and Mom's method of mixing onion soup mix into the patties and basting them liberally with cheap BBQ sauce. They were delicious.
I am a Florida Mason; though my lodge is all white, it's not because of any policy. Any black, white, red, yellow, pink and purple polka dotted man may petition and count on a fair ballot as long as he believes in God and is a morally upright individual. I was passed by conferral at one of the...
The List:
1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.
2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.
3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

Congrats Brother. I was just passed Monday. The Fellowcraft Degree is amazing. It is also a little humbling. I feel as if I am only just now getting a feel for implementing the tools of an EA.
The FC lecture is awesome. I assure you, you will thoroughly enjoy it.
I can see why a friend of mine thought of the Fellowcraft degree as his favorite. The lecture was awesome... certainly alot to digest. I have alot of thinking to do. So much to learn and contemplate.
I am to be passed on Monday; and we are hoping that I will be raised on the 25th of June at an outdoor degree put on annually by one of the lodges in this area. I had originally planned on my raising to be in "my" lodge; but I've been assured by several of our PMs (one who is a close friend)...
Proficiency complete. I will be passed to Fellowcraft next Monday the 23rd at one of our neighbor lodges, Myrtle Grove #352 in Pensacola. Supper at 6... degree to follow.
There were a couple of misspeaks and pauses; but I caught and corrected myself on most of them.
Safe Travels.
Turning in my Entered Apprentice proficiency this Tuesday. I was hoping to test myself; but my catechism instructor an a close friend who is a Past Master told me that's highly unusual in our jurisdiction. They did, however, tell me to keep seeking more light and recommended that I keep in mind...
I'm currently assigned as a flight instructor. I teach student naval aviators (Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard) in the advanced helicopter phase of their training.
Love my job... its great to be at a billet where I won't deploy for a couple years; but as with any job, there are "those" days...
Welcome back... I too have learned the hard way about sending an angry email (or in this case forum post). I just stay away from keyboards when I'm mad. I've noticed since implementing this policy, I get in significantly less hot water.
Sheesh... just had a knife firmly planted in my back (along with the obligatory twist of the blade) by one of my students. Fortunately for him he graduated and got his wings a week ago; the end of course critiques just now made their way to my desk.
Trying to give due attention to the use of...
