Andrew Jackson will be my next studied President. I've read a bit on him already but I'm curious...
How do you guys think history will view Bro Jackson?
If you like reading philosophical views of religion, I've been reading "An Introduction to: The Philosophy of Religion". It has been a really good read so far. Actually entertaining. Looks like it was written in the early 90s...
You won't go wrong no matter what you do. There are only so many hours of a week that you can dedicate. If you devote 100% of that time to your Lodge or if you start splitting it up amongst appendant bodies you will improve yourself. Just find what fits you and keeps you devoting that set aside...
The way the AASR is organized and its mission statement is what appeals to me. The academics are set up in a way that you don't really need a mentor. For me, it's been a very rewarding individual effort.
I have my studies with a goal. Win for me. Between the college of consistory and master...
Mike. I would simply say do some soul searching and if at the end you believe in a creator (by your own definition)then come knock on our doors. If you decide there is no creator then that's is ok but it is a requirement for us.
Hope you find what you are searching for.
I've noticed on Macoys that Texas has a large apron (everything is bigger in Texas, right) requirement; do members continue to wear their personal aprons in Texas or do they use common shares ones? Just curious
Well. A for effort, F for execution. I took what you said and prepared a small speech but wasn't able to deliver it due to a combination of time constraints with a unexpected low turnout. Next month I'll try again. Even if I'm talking to myself.
I brought up toastmasters at lodge one day just in casual conversation and about five brothers were members and a couple were heavily involved. It made me remember just how "like minded" we all are.
I always think that making small clubs with other brothers is a great thing. Even if it only...
In your research have you read World Gnosis by chance? It looks like a good read. It's a really interesting subject.

Edited to add that the author's other books haven't done so well and that has made me use my book...
Definitely way off from being factual. I just pretend it's on TBS and not the history channel. It let me get past that sticking point with me. Acting and effects were great though.
I use FB to use as a contact list only. I grouped all my family members to see any pics and stuff they may post. I either only see their posts or I get my news feed there.
I did "like" the largest Freemason site to let my friends and family see that I am a Mason in case they ever want to ask...
I rarely make time to listen but I've heard the round table a handful of times and enjoyed it each time. I've heard of Whence Came You but haven't listened to it yet.
I've met more oklahoma PHA masons overseas (Afghanistan and Japan) than any other PHA Mason. I've even worked with a few, but no one could tell me where they are with getting recognized or if they are even trying.
