Perhaps the official Master Craftsman program should have been this thorough?
Bro. Beathard's post is excellent, as usual. I am a Master Mason, and a 32° Scottish Rite Mason. I have a BA in History, and I'm working on my Masters in History as well. I've researched the fraternity. If there was a hint or whiff of anything the rumors mention - I wouldn't be here.
My wife was the influence for my aversion to gold as well. I'm wearing a titanium wedding band on my left hand, and my 14° (gold) ring on my right. The gold looks odd. I'll eventually exchange it for a silver one.

I just got my wife a Samsung Fascinate for birthday, to replace an old, OLD LG dare. That Fascinate is a pretty spiffy little phone. She's not too tech-savvy, so this is a good entry-level Android phone.
I quit email clients years ago. I live on the web now with Gmail. I no longer worry about losing everything if the computer crashes. And - I can access that email from almost anywhere...

I don't think you can compare 'the tough decisions' of Truman to any of the decisions Ford made in office. The mental and emotional weight of having to drop 2 atom bombs is more than almost any other President has had to bear.
