Fine Timber

Greetings,
I have friends, family and Co workers approach me patting me on the back . They all say fine Timber. What does this mean and should I act on something there telling me?

I've not heard the saying. Are these people Masons? Perhaps it's a colloquial saying meaning "good work"?

Edit: A cursory search turns up the usage in poetry by Sylvia Plath. Breakdowns of this metaphor on poetry sites suppose it to mean "good person".

Im a carpenter. Fine timber means nice wood from a good mill. Straight, no knots select grade.

Its just a compliment. I think everyone is reading into it too far like theres some hidden masonic secret behind it.

Ive noticed a lot of threads are like that here.
