Knights Templar

Is Knights Templar an appendant body of Scottish Rite or York Rite? Seems like I've seen it listed as part of both. (??)

Well that depends on how you look at it. Short answer is that "Knight Templar" is the ultimate degree if the York Rite. However, the 30th degree in the Scottish Rite (Knight Kadosh) is essentially its own form of "Knight of the Temple" as well. That could be what you are hearing.

This is a vastly oversimplified explanation, but you get the idea.
