Levant Preceptory, Indiana's medieval Knights Templar group, operating under the charter of Raper Commandery No. 1, will make a rare appearance on Saturday, April 12th at the Temple of Calvin Prather Lodge in Indianapolis to confer the Order of the Temple. We go on at about 5:30PM. Prather Lodge is located at 7501 East 56th Street, just east of Lawrence Central High School. The Grand Master's All Day Class begins at 7AM with breakfast, and the degrees start at 8AM with the EA degree.
In 2007, a group of Knights templar from across Indiana formed Levant Preceptory, a medieval reenactment unit, for the purpose of conferring the Order of the Temple while clothed in costumes appropriate for the Crusader period. Knights purchase their own chainmaille, swords, helmets, tunics and more. They travel the region by request.
