I finally began to watch "The Bible" and so far it's been fantastic! I've always been intrigued with the Bible, especially artifacts attributed to it. One of the most interesting is the "Shroud of Turin". Many believe it is the actual burial cloth of Jesus Christ, while others label it as a medieval hoax. In the 1980's, radio carbon testing dated the Shroud to the middle ages, however over the past two years, many scholars dispute the results as the Shroud has been contaminated for hundreds of years. Some facts:
The Wounds in the image are consistent with the Gospel account of Christ’s ordeal including:
• Crown of thorns
• Bruising of face
• Shoulder abrasions
• Knee abrasions
• Scourge marks
• Nail wounds in wrist & feet
• Wound in side
• Legs not broken
If you have 45 minutes to spare, check out this video. It will give you chills:
