I'm new to the York rite as well. I've been reading books on knighthood and the templars. Check out jp Luther website. There's lots of books on templar and the royal arch masonry. Sent from my SM-G360T1 using My Freemasonry mobile app
I figure it's good to know as much as possible about the history of knights and the templars as well. Knowing and understanding the symbolism of the royal arch and the others. Sent from my SM-G360T1 using My Freemasonry mobile app

I found I learned most about HRA and 18th from reading Sitchin, particularly The Twelfth Planet. https://www.amazon.com/Twelfth-Planet-Book-Earth-Chronicles/dp/0061379131 Of course that account does not suit those that look for modern origins for Freemasonry.
That is a good book. Mind blowing but really good. Sent from my SM-G360T1 using My Freemasonry mobile app
