Appendant bodies in Swedish rite

Here is a question I have been wondering for a couple of days.
In those Nordic countries where Swedish Rite is the main masonic path do you guys have other masonic bodies like Mark, YR, KT, SR etc or is the ten degrees the it?
I know that we for example have righht to visit SwR IV-V when I'm a MMM and there is relevance of every appendant degree to Swedish Rite degrees, but is there degrees out side of that is Sweden, Norway, Iceland and Denmark? (En if there is other countries that use the Swedish Rite) I don't even know if Finnish brothers who belong under GLOS and use SwR could join our MMM or SR...

No we dont have appendant bodies like the rest of masonic world uses them. We have the higher degrees (wich are based on appendant bodies) within the system as the ritual architects of the swedish rite had certain ideas they wanted to incoporate into the rite that requird more then just three degrees.

The masonic situation in Denmark is wierd as they have two grand lodges that dont work the swedish rite that are somehow under the GL of Denmark and I guess they can join RA.

Thank you brother Elexir.

I was hoping to summon you to this thread. :)

I kind of taugth that the rest of the degrees from 4.-10. are from appendant bodies.
Do you know if they are from SR or YR and how much they differ from the Appendant degrees?

Oh. And BTW. When was Swedish Rite created?

Actully they where originally from appendant bodies. However when the swedish rite was created around 1800 the rituals where reworked so that they would fit in with the narrative.
My own knowledge of the actual rituals of the swedish rite only extends to the IV-V and its a bit diffrent. You cant actully use the degree outside of the swedish rite ;) or you can but it would be useless.

They are however not an appendant body but rather another GL. There is a diffrence. They dont have any degrees over MM in Sweden.

This is correct.
Those lodges in Sweden under GLF has only blue masonry. I don't know for sure but I would assume some of the brethren from those lodges might be members of appendant bodies in other cities.

There is actually lodge(s) working in Tornio (Torneå) that has their lodge buildin in Haparanda side of the city so althou they are technically working in Finland because they are registered in Tornio they operate in Swedish soil in Haparanda and they have RA there too. But this is completly different thing. :)

If I dont remember things wrong neither RA or MMM exist in southern Sweden.
The members of the lodge in Lund go to Denmark for their RA. When it comes to the border situation up there they are pretty loose in general so ;)

Most likley but it would most likley depend on where in Sweden they live. I have to ask them if I get a change to visit Södertälje.
Not knowing anyone of them, I would assume the ones going to Södertälje lives quite near Stockholm area...
