All seeing eye in a mexican church
A week ago I started my vacations to travel different places from my country, and we arrived to San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, México. The photo taken is from the inside of San Gabriel Archangel church, left side of the building, amazing structure... but this is the interesting part; the guide mentions this churches were in a time Masonic Lodges, and this was the only symbol who people normally dont recognize at all. Amazing to see freemasonry was once part of Méxicos culture, and I hope it will be again some day =)
Actuly the all-seeing eye is a symbol we have borrowed from other traditions.
In Sweden the all-seeing eye can be found in many churches that predates masonry.
