Hello it's been a while since I have posted on this site but I thought I would come back and start posting again. I haven't been a master mason but a couple of months and have been in freemasonry for about 7 almost 8 months now I suppose so still new. Now I know we are not a religion nor do we teach a way to salvation but is it wrong to say that through my works and time as a freemason it has lead me back towards my religion of christianity? I remained a believer in God and still believed in the Bible just wasn't sure about the specifics about the Bible and the specifics of Jesus Christ himself. That being said is it wrong for me to say that freemasonry has lead be back to having a drive/want to read up on Christianity?? Feel free to respond and or ask me questions? Would be nice to hear some of yalls experiences! what has freemasonry done for you??

Thank You!

It's not wrong to say that. Freemasonry has brought me closer in my Christian walk as well. I find myself doing more self bible study too.

Masonry teaches us to be more active in our religion whichever one it is. Your increased faith and activity in yours is in direct compliance with that teaching. You should be proud of that.

Okay cool its good to know that I am not the only one :) It's hard to say why but I feel it has made me want to learn more about my religion which I thought sounded kinda weird. I am happy to be reading more into my religion because while I didn't lose faith in God or Belief in God I did stray away from my religion for a little and I feel that I am being brought closer to it through my experiences in the short time I have been a part of the great fraternity. It's good to know that other brothers feel the same way.

If it's true that it is not wrong to say so! In my case, my studies have led me to view Christianity in much less of a "main-stream" way; I would now describe myself a "Christian mystic."

I would say its not wrong at all. I believe one of the aims of Freemasonry is inspire a man to become more knowledgeable, and become closer to his God. I myself am not an adherent to any faith, but Freemasonry has helped me in reinforcing my preexisting belief in Deity.
