I am a new-ish member, though I must admit I never read this part of the forum and was "lurking" for a time. I am a proud brother Master Mason from Joseph W. Summers Lodge #173 in Morgantown, WV, and thus far I have greatly enjoyed reading the discussions in this forum. I studied liberal arts at St. John's College, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and the history of Science and mathematics in 2003. Little did I know at the time that I was laying a fine foundation for my future work in the Craft! I am currently a Ruby Distinguished Doctoral Fellow at West Virginia University working toward my PhD in computer science. My research involves the development and application of artificial intelligence algorithms to discover celestial phenomena in astronomical data sets. After years of purely technical thinking it is a welcome change to be part of a brotherhood that is devoted to more philosophical pursuits. Many thanks for the input and ideas of the brethren and a wonderful place for us to meet and discourse on the online level!
