I am interested in pursuing my York Rite degrees. I was raised MM on 11/11/13. I am in the NW Suburbs of IL. Is there anyone here who can point me in the right direction.

Since the first step in York Rite is the Royal Arch Chapter, start with the Chapter locator of the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Illinois: http://ram-il.org/chapters/chapter-finder/ Also, there are bound to be brothers in your blue lodge who will be more than happy to help you. Ask them before or after lodge.

Palatine Lodge has a very active York Rite chapter that meets at their new building. I'm a member of Barrington 522 and Palatine is in my district. That said I recommend taking your time before joining any appendent body. I've heard many brothers say they wish they had waited longer, few say they wish they had waited less. At the blue lodge level Palatine does very good Masonic Education talks at all of their Stated meetings. Their new building is on IL-68 about 1.5 miles west of the IL-53 (I-290 extension).

Illinois has two jurisdictions and the above is about mine. You don't list your jurisdiction in your profile so I don't know which one you're in. I think the most active PHA lodge in the NW burbs meets in Elgin. I have no idea if they have their own YR chapter.
