You're aware that Lebanon Cedar is currently an endangered species so there isn't a legal market in it, right? You don't exactly want to write "Smuggled for Br Joe Shmoe" on it. More like "This piece of wood dates from before Lebanon Cedar was declared endangered and was found in an antique shop in Glasgow".

Now listed as "Vulnerable" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lebanon_Cedar

get it made out of acacia.

Did anyone see in the news yesterday that international trade in Somalia Acacia charcoal is currently banned? I read the article to see if they do sustainable growth of the trees/bushes but the reason for the ban is who the profits go to.

I came to realize that my lodge didn't have a rough and perfect ashlar. Since this area is known for its beautiful "Kasota limestone," I thought we should have ashlars quarried locally. I went to the local quarry and had them make me up a rough and perfect ashlar and donated them. They came out really nice.
