Dear brothers,
I will be raised on 27 th jan and I need to know if I will be allowed by then to wear the ring.
Second, where should I buy it from ? There is many website s online like eBay etc... but there ia many rings which r different in shape and symbols so which one will be for the MM ?

Typically you are allowed to display symbols AFTER being raised. Since this is a jurisdictional thing though, the question should be posed to a member of your lodge for the specific answer.
Secondly, I personally got mine on amazon where there are tons to be found, but I've seen a number of sharp looking ones on Etsy. If you want vintage, then Ebay is probably a good bet. Any local jeweler should be able to locate and/or craft one for you as well if you want a custom design. I've also seen a number of small websites that sell jewelry and can be found via internet search.

EDIT: for the last part of your question, most s&c rings are MM rings (though I have seen some ea/fc ones rarely). Anything not chapter, council, KT, or SR (and would probably be labeled as such) would likely be an appropriate MM ring.

I bought my everyday ring off amazon I believe or eBay because I knew it's get some wear and tear on it but my special one or formal one I spent some money on it

You'll want to find the local rule/tradition on rings. They might be okay after you have been initiated, after you have been raised or after you have presented your Master Mason proficiency.

You'll want a ring that fits the local pattern. I think GLofScotland uses a G inside the S&C.

I have a ring I bought new (PM in fact two of them), a ring I bought on eBay to "keep in the family" (Scottish Rite) and a ring I brought at a pawn shop to "bring back into the family" (my first MM ring). I rather like the idea of getting a ring used by a brother from a previous generation.

As stated above, it would be up to local jurisdiction when you may wear it.
As for the second part of your question, I think that for the most part, it is up to you and your taste of jewelry. Myself, I have a stainless steel everyday ring that I wear to work. Cost me around $100.00 U.S. so it is no great loss should it get damaged or lost. My wife also bought (actually she just paid for it but we designed it together) me a very nice ring that was presented to me the night I was raised. That one was abut $3,000.00 U.S. and needless to say, I don't wear it to work as I don't want it damaged.

Normally, you should not wear any Masonic "bling" until you are raised to MM. Ask your lodge secretary, for the policy in your state of residence. There are many excellent used masonic rings for sale on ebay (and other places). You should also check the pawn shops in your area, you can often find some excellent used rings at pawn shops.

If possible, I suggest that you obtain a Masonic license plate for your vehicle (if your state has one).

You may also wish to obtain a stainless-steel ring for everyday wear. I have my grandfather's diamond heirloom ring, that I wear only on special occasions. I wear a stainless-steel ring when I am deployed to Afghanistan!

Since someone mentioned it. How about wearing an EA or FC ring or in my case an EA SC symbol on my watch (As the watch face, I have a pebble watch that I made the face for).

This is a question for your Proposer to answer.

I do find it a little worrying that you are asking questions for him on an Internet Forum.

@Mike : u r right, i can ask him those questions ... but i also like to share it on this forum bcz i get nice ideas and its always good to know from different jurisdictions... if everyone on this forum would ask his mentor it does not make sense to have the forum active...

In my jurisdiction, we tell EAs on the night of their initiation, "We ask that you don't wear any Masonic symbols at this time because you might be asked a question that you can't answer yet by someone. That could lead to embarrassment for you and them." You are told to wait until you've been raised to wear anything.

My personal preference would be (have been) not to have purchased anything with an EA or FC S&C on it because it would be a waste of money. From the time I got my EA until I was raised was four months, and the only reason it wasn't three is because our lodge doesn't do degree work in December.

As for Masonic license plates, I say no. If you want something on your truck, get an emblem and put it on there. In my state, those specialized plates cost an extra $25. Part of it goes to the GL, part of it to the state. I'd prefer to give an extra $25 to my local lodge or to church than those other two bodies located in Nashville.

There are some questions that while of an interesting nature will of necessity get the wrong answer from Forums.

This is because each and every Grand Lodge is a sovereign and independent organisation and each Lodge is a Private body which chooses to give allegiance to them. There is a Masonic catchphrase when it comes to protocol of any kind and that is "Always do as your Mother taught you". This means these things are learnt from your own Lodge not others.

Obviously I would be less uncomfortable if you made it clearer that you just wanted to see what the rules were elsewhere as you have already checked with your own Mother Lodge in the form of your Proposer and know the correct answer for you.
