I know its still abit away but super excited, in just over 4months i will be initiated as EA, anyone else go through this early excitement? What did you do to keep yourself in check? Lol

As I read so many posts here before for joined a irregular lodge and established good relationship.
I suggest you go to check your lodge is it regular and recognised by other regular Grand Lodge.
Anyway, congratulations!

Wow, a four month wait?!? Yikes.

Attend what you can, like the dinners before lodge meetings, or lodge workdays. This allows them to get to know you, and you them.

You can also take this time to learn more about the history of the craft, though stay away from anything that might reveal the secrets or degree work. And enjoy the journey!

Yes its s regular lodge, dominion 117 here in alberta, i go to what functions i can..just hard to stay calm about it : P

I've been wait for 6-7 months to received my first degree.
So that's usual. LOL

I actually started waiting since last summer lol wasnt officially voted in until january, but none the less its been some time lol

In my case there was more of a "Mind that bus!" "Bus, what bus?" SPLAT.
I got a call asking me if I still wanted to be a Mason. When I said I did, I was told that I needed to show up tomorrow night to be initiated. Great guys--with a sense of humor.

I received that email also from my lodge but before I petitioned LOL
I was told that you need to turn up tomorrow for a brief meet before petition.
