Our symbols are explained as a part of our degrees. While they are not secrets I suggest that you should learn them by taking your degrees not by reading before your degrees.

Do you know anyone who searched for the Christmas presents when they were a kid and the lack of surprise spoiled the holiday for them? Mining the degrees for as much of the content as possible has that same effect of a candidate but holidays come every year and there's only one chance to go through our degrees fresh. It's also a matter of trust. If you don't trust your friend what's the point of joining him in membership?

I agree. Before I was initiated as an MM I didn't read any of the material on the web or elsewhere that claimed to tell of the rituals. I wanted to experience them first hand as I went through them and I loved every second of all three.
