Interesting Trick - Take your Lodge Number and double it, add 5, now multiply by 50, and add your age. Add the number of days in a year (365), Subtract 615 the first 3 (or 2 or 4) numbers of the result will be your lodge number the last 2 will be your age.

It's funny because I'm guess brother Blake posted this on Facebook as well and tons of people were talking crap about this. I did it with three different lodges ... Worked every time ;) XD !!

The difference between Magic and Science is Knowledge, when you do not know how something works it seems like Magic.
Take your Lodge Number and double it, add 5, now multiply by 50
When you double a number and multiply by 50 you have actually multiplied the number by 100, so you have your Lodge number followed by two zeros. Also you add five times fifty or 250.
and add your age. Add the number of days in a year (365), Subtract 615
Add your age, then add 365 and subtract 615 for a net subtraction of 250.
first 3 (or 2 or 4) numbers of the result will be your lodge number the last 2 will be your age.
So what we have done is taken our Lodge number and multiplied it by 100 and added our age. While we were doing that we added 250 and subtracted 250 in a rather confusing manner. I realize that it was more entertaining to do this when you didn't understand the mechanism. I have taken the time to write this out I believe that there is an important moral lesson that can be learned from this simple exercise. The lesson is that the mind is a relatively simple thing to fool.
