Can anyone tell me about a lodge in Matamoras, Tamaulipas, Mexico named Aurora Boreal 14? Is it a 'blue lodge'? Can a Texas 'blue lodge' mason visit it? (I am at home and don't have access to 'Lodges Masonic'.)

Which Grand Lodge is it attached to? That will tell you whether you can visit. Also, the further south you go the fewer "blue" lodges you will find. But that doesn't mean you can't visit them. Talk to your Secretary...

Even if I knew the Grand Lodge, (which I don't), it wouldn't help as I don't know which Grand Lodge(s) in Mexico are recognized by the Grand Lodge of Texas. And unfortunately, I am the Secretary. I am trying to get an answer for a brother who has called me and I don't have the book listing acceptable lodges at home. (It is at the lodge 25 miles away and I'm trying to avoid making the trip.)

You may have to wait till you have the pantograph in hand... I don't see the lodge on the York Grand Lodge of Mexico's site, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

I was able to find California's recognition list but not Texas's recognition list.

MEXICO: Grand Lodge of Baja California (317); Grand Lodge
of Baja California Sur (318); Grand Lodge of Benito Juarez (320); Grand Lodge
of El Potosi (322); Grand Lodge of Nuevo Leon (323); Grand Lodge Occidental
Mexicana (324); Grand Lodge of Sinaloa (324); Grand Lodge of Tamaulipas
(325); Grand Lodge Valle de Mexico (327); York Grand Lodge of Mexico (329);
MONACO: Regular National Grand Lodge of the Principality of Monaco*.

Google suggests that Tamaulipas is recognized by a lot of other states. I think the chain of regularity in Mexico looks like this -

http://www.confederacion-ggllrr.org/#!organizacion/c117w Confederation of Regular Grand Lodges of the United Mexican States

Tamaulipas is listed as having a web site that's not currently valid.
