Utah Pond? Where art thou?

Although loosely associated (albeit only at times), with Freemasonry, The Ancient and Honorable Order of Turtles has always been near and dear to my heart. I seem to remember affixing my grandfather's Masonic Turtle on his lapel weakly as he headed off to another meeting.

Like a dog with a bone, I set my sights recently on attempting to discover its mysteries and deeper meaning; and just can't seem to let go.

Online, I discovered Many sites claiming that they held Charters with the Order. So, one by one - I studied and answered the "Sublime Questions" of Turtledom in order to become worthy of initiations (4 in some cases, 25 in total) and corresponded with many Past Imperial Turtles, in hopes that I would become invited to initiation.

After several attempts, and some investment of time and money; I discovered not one soul knows of an active Pond within the Grand Jurisdiction of Utah.

Admittely, I have met and spoke with 3 Brothers in Utah, who are Turtles; and they were kind; but their experience sounded an awful lot like mine. One suggested that he was "iniated" about a kitchen table, and by whom. Another, simply admitted he was a Turtle (in the usual fashion); But no one could direct my feet along my path.

As with ANY Body, Group, Rite, or Organization -
If this is by invitation only, then say so. I will understand and respect that. If there are prerequisites to membership, then offer that information- I will work hard to become worthy.

If there is no Pond, how does one start?

I am a Candidate / Noble Shellback in search of Initiation into a Utah Pond.

Are You A Turtle?

How interesting. I've always heard of this. Please keep us updated, as much as you can anyways.
