Selectivity or discrimination (NOT racial) between brothers from the same lodge?

A brother from my lodge (regular blue lodge) has said numerous times that he prefers to fraternize with some members of the lodge and distance himself from other brothers with whom he feels there is not a connection and/or no interests in common when it comes to freemasonry.

Is this acceptable in freemasonry? I thought we were all suppose to, or at least try, to fraternize with all members of the lodge.

Thanks

Not required.
You're welcome.

We are still human beings with our faults and foibles. Just because someone is a member of your lodge doesn’t mean you’ll get along with them. There are Brethren in my Mother Lodge I would rather never speak to again.
Announcing it regularly in lodge isn’t exactly kind, though, and doesn’t leave me with a very good impression of the “Brother.”

We should aim for the highest ideals in Freemasonry.

Brotherhood is a very high & noble ideal. It's a worthy effort.

Unfortunately as we learn though, it's hard work to like everyone.

In my opinion, what's unacceptable in Freemasonry is to make too much of a case about not liking other members.

It's real and present. But let's continue to shoot for greatness. It's in our 'contracts'.
