I would first determine if the respective GLs allow dual memberships. A number of us on the list are members in different jurisdictions.
How common are single affiliation jurisdictions? That would be a jurisdiction that requires demitting form all other lodge memberships to affiliate. Research lodge generally is not counted. Probably special purpose lodges like Tranquility 2000 would not be counted.
As I'm currently member in 3 jurisdictions I would not consider affiliating with a lodge in any jurisdiction that told me to demit from a lodge where I am a Past master and life/endowed member. Your jurisdiction, your rules of course. But given how common it is for American men to relocate I don't get why any jurisdiction would still have such a rule.
GLofWV appears to be single affiliation. They had a big court case several years ago about one of their PGMs affiliating with a lodge in another jurisdiction, though for more reasons than just that. They were a laughing stock until other jurisdictions took their place in the spotlight of infamy.
